Happy 2011

I don’t have any pictures from my not very crazy 2011 New Years Eve celebration, as I was asleep before the switch to 2011 occurred. This is mainly due to my fantastic new job as the photographer at the New York Stock Exchange. Since I started working there in July I’ve covered all sorts of events ranging from celebrity visits from people like Sylvester Stallone and The Jersey Shore cast, to big IPO listings from companies such as General Motors. Appropriately the last company to close the market in 2010 was Veuve Clicquot. It’s looking like an exciting 2011.

Part of my job at the exchange is to follow guided tours throughout the trading floor. I’ve done this probably 100 times already, and have even been on a couple with my own parents where I tried to pay attention. Maybe this cartoon from the 1950’s can help explain the whole thing…

Breaking Upwards

With my recently reinstated Netflix account that now has this awesome online ability I’ve been catching up on my movies. “Breaking Upwards” was my most recent time filler which turned out to actually be a pretty enjoyable movie. The soundtrack’s also worth a listen

This ‘rap’ video shouldn’t put you off the movie, it’s almost completely unrelated….
