Ja, Das ist Good!
Sometimes I wonder if people have too much time on their hands. Or question the need for another sport to be invented. I even try to imagine what it would be like if they crossed badminton with Formula 1.

I photographed someone at an event and have kept in vague touch through facebook. They just posted that they have a personal website, so I took a quick peek to find out more about what they do. It turns out they either are extremely an successful entrepreneur, they are able to bullshit an incredible ‘about me’ page, or they just love talking about themselves (possibly all 3). Then I realised the google ad at the bottom that linked to this…
Her ‘about me ‘after the break…..
They were filming some kind of movie (sans celebrities) last night in the station. It was going on when I got there at 2pm and then was still going at 1am on the way home. The Mandela Concert also did some UN thing in the station that day, so it must have been mayhem. Having to commute through the station I am now well versed on the inner workings of the place. I couldn’t believe that on Wednesday during the Mandela Dinner and Gala that they walked all the celebrities (including Former President Bill Clinton) through the station during rush hour!

Normally I find blogs that poke fun at people or have ill intentions as bad taste, but I think I’ve spent too much time on craigslist recently and read too many crazy posts to really care. This guy at donevenreply.com is pretty funny. It’s amazing what people want or expect on craigslist. (Thanks Tom)

The VIP’s of the charity Girls Quest

I’ve no idea who these chaps are, but they rolled in like celebs and bought a bunch of stuff

Shoes!!

I had seen this ad before in my local mail store and really wanted a mixed Boston puppy. Well, I met the woman today and she said she was going to put them in a pound soon because she has 3 left and can’t afford to keep them. She wanted $300 a puppy, but I bet she’d take lower than that. They have all their shots and are now 6 months old. BUY ONE NOW!!!! (Don’t think I’m hinting that I want one… we could not live with 3 dogs!!)

A good friend of my Dad’s daughter just graduated from the NYU Journalism program, and had a private screening of her thesis project “A Fine Whine” a documentary about the Philadelphia Complaint Choir. I missed the trip out to their home, but was impressed by the concept of the documentary as well as the whole idea of the choir. Anyone who knows me, knows I believe that there’s nothing like a good whinge!
The choir is open to anyone looking to have a good bellyache with like-minded moaners, the choirs canvas the streets for complaints, form them into verse, and set them to music they then perform in public places. Helsinki artists Tellervo Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen founded the project in 2005, after pondering the Finnish word valituskuro, which refers to people complaining in packs. Their idea took off and complaint choirs have since formed in St. Petersburg, Copenhagen, Warsaw, Florence, Jerusalem, Singapore, Birmingham and other cities. Active U.S. choirs include groups in Chicago and Juneau, Alaska; a group is also reportedly forming one in New York City. Philadelphia produced a choir in November 2008 with Shelley Spector, an artist and former gallery owner, and Evan Solot, chair of the composition department at the music school of Philadelphia’s University of the Arts, launched the chapter together.
An old friend from Purchase is the General Manager for this dance company, and thankfully pulled the trigger on booking me to photograph the opening night and today’s press call. The snippets of performance I saw today were incredible, I’d highly recommend grabbing some tickets HERE before the curtain drops on Sunday.

It is our 2nd wedding anniversary today. I will forever be immortalised in the NY Post as being the groom who was holding the flowers in his wedding photo. If only we could relive this day every anniversary, it was so much fun having all our close friends around and partying. We have dinner booked at the “Craft Steak” which I am SUPER excited about. It’s becoming a bit of a tradition that we celebrate our anniversary at a steak house. Last year I had just got back from India and we went to “Peter Luger” to decimate a sacred beast. Tonight I’m definitely getting the Wagyu Tartar appetizer.
